A balance between philological rigour and vocal versatility defines an artistic journey that began with a diploma in Classical Guitar from the Conservatorio di Musica di Bologna in 2004.
In the same year, driven by a desire to explore the human voice — a lifelong passion cultivated since childhood — he turned his focus towards polyphonic performance practice, taking his first significant steps with the Coro Polifonico Città di Rovigo.

Since 2007, he has maintained an intensive collaborative career with leading national and international ensembles dedicated to the revival and performance of Early, Renaissance, and Baroque music. He performs regularly with renowned groups such as La Compagnia del Madrigale, Cantica Symphonia, Cantarlontano, De Labyrintho, IDisinvolti, Odhecaton, Ensemble Arte Musica, Modo Antiquo, Accademia d’Arcadia, La Venexiana, Ars Cantica, Concerto Romano, LaVerdi Barocca, Il Canto di Orfeo, La Fonte Musica, Concerto Italiano, Accademia Bizantina and I Barocchisti.

Since 2013, he has been a permanent member of the Coro della Radio e Televisione Svizzera (RSI).
Within this ensemble—and through its ongoing collaboration with I Barocchisti under the direction of Diego Fasolis—he has performed a vast array of repertoire in both choral and solo roles, participating in major projects such as the European tour of Bellini's opera Norma.

Particularly devoted to the Monteverdi repertoire and the madrigal genre, he is a member of Ensemble RossoPorpora, directed by Walter Testolin, with whom he recorded an acclaimed album dedicated to Luca Marenzio (L’amoroso & stile crudo, Arcana) and worked on the recording of Claudio Monteverdi's Sixth Book of Madrigals.

As an active member of La Fonte Musica, an ensemble specializing in Medieval music led by Michele Pasotti, he took part in the complete recording of the works of Zacara da Teramo: a landmark discographic project awarded a Diapason d'Or, an ICMA nomination, and an Editor’s Choice in Gramophone.
In one of the ensemble's flagship programmes, he regularly performs the role of Tancredi in Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda alongside Mauro Borgioni and Alena Dantcheva.

His solo debut in September 2016 in Monteverdi's Vespro della Beata Vergine—performed at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza and the Basilica dei Frari in Venice for the Vicenza in Lirica festival—marked the starting point for a series of major engagements across prestigious European theatres and festivals.

Operatic Roles & Monteverdi Repertoire 

In 2017, he performed Pastore Secondo (L'Orfeo), Soldato Secondo / Famigliare di Seneca (L'Incoronazione di Poppea), and Giove / Eumete (Il Ritorno di Ulisse in patria) at the Schwetzingen Festspiele with La Venexiana.He returned to Monteverdi as Pastore I in L'Orfeo at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna and the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara, directed by Ottavio Dantone and staged by Pierluigi Pizzi (2021). He subsequently performed the roles of Pastore I and Apollo at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and the Salzburg Whitsun Festival (Pfingstfestspiele) under Gianluca Capuano with the Compagnia Marionettistica Carlo Colla e Figli (2023). His portrayal of Pastore I in L'Orfeo continued with Evgeny Titov’s production, conducted by Ottavio Dantone, at Zurich Opera House (Opernhaus Zürich, 2024–2025).

In May 2026, he returned to the Salzburg Whitsun Festival as a protagonist, singing the role of Telemaco in Monteverdi's Il Ritorno di Ulisse in patria.

Oratorio & Sacred Repertoire 

His sacred music engagements include debuts in Mozart's Requiem and Handel's Messiah with the FORM (Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana) conducted by Marco Berrini. In 2022, he made his debut at Opéra de Lausanne in the role of Tempo in Handel's oratorio Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno, conducted by Diego Fasolis. He has appeared as a soloist in Monteverdi's Vespro della Beata Vergine at the Wiener Konzerthaus (with La Fonte Musica), the Festival Monteverdi in Cremona (with Accademia Bizantina), as well as in productions in Monte-Carlo and Salzburg under Gianluca Capuano.

Contemporary Opera & Major International Stages 

In 2023, he sang the roles of Nicola and the Hotdog Vendor in Vanni Moretto’s contemporary opera Don Quichot (an Opera2day production), taking part in an extensive tour across major theatres in the Netherlands. In 2024, he toured some of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls—including the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Barbican Centre in London, and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris—performing the roles of Historicus (Carissimi's Historia Jephte) and the Sailor (Purcell's Dido and Aeneas) alongside Il Pomo d'Oro directed by Maxim Emelyanychev.His journey with Purcell's opera will reach a milestone in 2027, when he will reprise the role of the Sailor in Dido and Aeneas at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, under the baton of Gianluca Capuano.

He boasts an extensive discography for major international labels including Arcana, Alpha, Glossa, and Arkiv.
